11 second Backgrounds
These are the two backgrounds i have made for my final animation, i used most of the ideas from my storyboard and used screenshots from my block-through to make sure that the tables are at the right height and my current animation fits, as can be seen below. I am very happy with these backgrounds as they fit the style i like and want to go for, I spent a few hours on these because my Photoshop skills are very limited and i learnt a lot about the brushes and the different textures i can get with them, however i do feel that they look a but flat because even though there is lots of shading, there is no depth to the tables as they just look like flat beams.
Below is a quick test of my backgrounds with my block-through over the top.

11 Second Blockthrough
11 Second Club Animatic
11 second club storyboard
Below is the final storyboard I did for the 11 second club, I have changed a lot from the thumbnails, the characters are now talking about a motorised skateboard instead of a food blender as I felt that the food blender was a weak idea and the skateboard would interest Marty more and fit the audio. I have also changed a lot of the acting in it as in the thumbnails it was just a lot of arm flailing and now it's much more subtle and fitting.

11 second club concepts and thumbnails
For some of the first work were doing this year, we are using the audio given on the 11 second club website, on the 11 second club website every month they give out a piece of audio for people to animate to and then vote on which entry is the best, however we are not going to be handing it in on the website as we started very late in the month. This month the audio is clearly from Back To The Future.
Above is my character design for the Back to the future clip, although my animation isn't going to be a copy of the film the characters are clearly inspired by the film, with Marty wearing the iconic waist coat and Doc wearing a lab coat.

Above is a rough thumbnailing for my animation, with the two characters talking about a food blender which i am going to change. I am going to redo this as a more detailed storyboard with the two characters talking about a nuclear powered skateboard. and change the acting in it as i have had feedback on these thumbnails and have reconsidered the amount of arm movement in it and have more subtle but more meaningful movement.
2nd Year
I am now starting my second year of University and I am already working hard on making sure this year is much better than last year and making sure i am much more organised. This year i am mostly going to be focusing on pre-production as I am much more interested in the whole area. within pre-production I am very interested in and looking forward to working more on my story boarding skills and character design skills, as well as diving in to new areas like script writing and set building for stop motion. As well as pre-production i am still going to be working hard on production with stop-motion being my main focus, and 2D animation also being a focus but not as central as stop-motion.

Life Drawing
This is a selection of my work from our life drawing classes as well as some of work I did in my own sketch book at home. most of the work I did in the classes I feel I could have done much better and think all the proportions are all wrong, however I am really proud of the ones I did at home in my own time because I spent much longer on them so that I could get the proportions correct.
